2/2: bone marrow

Today I had my follow-up bone marrow biopsy done. The results will indicate whether I’m in remission and can treat my cancer with just three more rounds of chemo, or will need a stem cell transplant (hopefully not). If the chemo is all that I need, then I’ll most likely have one week in the hospital (with two rounds of chemo per day on days 1, 3, and 5) and three weeks out. I could be done with all the chemo and in full remission by mid-May! The biopsy results should all be in by the end of this week.

Meanwhile, I’m hanging out with my family, resting, knitting/crocheting (thanks to Elaine, Tita, and Frances W for all the yarn), reading and listening to books and magazines (thanks to Olivia, Chris & Monica, Frances E, Jane & Chris, Cecilie, Daniela, and Amy), and studying up on mindfulness (thanks Carrie and Chris!).
