This morning, my white blood cells and neutrophils were up from 1.2 and 0.55 to 7.4 and 5.8. What?! I had to check twice to be sure I was seeing right. This means that I can stop getting neupogen shots. Phew! That’s a relief because I’ve really been feeling that bone pain they kept warning about, and it’s not fun. It’s like growing pains times 100, and not just in my leg and hip bones but also my lower back and a little in my chest. It was enough that I couldn’t fall asleep last night with just Tylenol alone, but had to take oxycodone.

Anyway, this is excellent news. I’m that much closer to going home, and can eat non-hospital food again!
