second batch of meds

second batch of meds

This lineup of bags of chemo, saline, plasma, and hemoglobin feels like war trophies in my battle with leukemia. Every four days my trophies get removed and a fresh batch gets started, so picture me with twice this many bags of substances having gone into my system. Kind of crazy, but if this is what it takes to get me into remission, then bring it on!

Generally I’m still doing great. I’m definitely feeling more fatigue and a tiny bit of nausea, but nothing that stops me from eating, reading, watching movies, knitting, and especially hanging out with my family. We had another great visit today, with treats from Alex, a flute performance by Zoë, and snuggles with Griffin. I can’t wait to get back home again!
